Imprint

The new Editor of Imprint Magazine required a fresh identity that would attract new, younger readers whilst still appealing to the existing audience. The magazine had access to incredible artwork and prints from numerous artists and designers, however these pieces were not the main focus on the page.

The artwork needed to become the hero of the page, so the layout was designed around them, with dynamic type and layouts complementing it. Colour and contrast in the font pairings was used to add interest and modernise the aesthetic, while still nodding to the past.

The content was supplied by the client from previous Imprint editions. My design was one of many submitted to the Editor and was highly commended, however not chosen.
